A little backstory…
After graduating and moving to Los Angeles from Colorado in 2012, I started flying drones. My first drone was a DJI Phantom 2. On this device I learned how to modify it to have a wireless video system, a three-axis stabilizer gimbal with a GoPro, and to the transmitter I added a monitor, video receiver and battery. In doing so I learned a lot about the technical aspects of the drone and how modifications affected operation during flight. I opened my Phantom up many times to solder cables and replace motors, as well as power the accessories. My day job is working as a 1st Assistant Camera and Focus Puller on set for feature films, television and commercials in Hollywood, California.
As a storyteller and a camera & drone operator, I want to contribute to society to impact the world in a positive way. I believe that many drone applications can help us to help each other in a safer and more efficient way, protecting not only our citizens but our planet as well.
